Dr. Saunders, a graduate of Smithville High School, joined Heartland Women’s Health Care in 2002. Dr. Saunders obtained her bachelors of science at the University of Missouri- Columbia. She then continued her post-graduate medical education at Oklahoma State University-College of Osteopathic
Medicine.

Dr. Saunders completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She enjoys providing obstetric care and taking an active role in contraceptive counseling. She also has an interest in pelvic reconstruction and vaginal surgery. Dr. Saunders, her husband, and four children reside in the Northland. The family stays busy with soccer, gymnastics and ballroom dancing.
