James H. Morgan, D.O., FACOOG

Dr. Morgan is a native of South Carolina where he attended the University of South Carolina. Medical school brought him to Kansas City where he graduated from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. It was then on to Atlanta for internship and back to Kansas City for residency. After completion of residency he served as a Lt. Commander in the United States Public Health Service and was assigned to the Indian Health Services in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. In 1991 Dr. Morgan returned to Kansas City to join Heartland Women’s Health Care.

Since joining Heartland, Dr. Morgan has been active in community activities as well as being very involved with NKC Hospital. He has served on numerous committees and currently serves on the Medical Executive Committee and is the division chairman of the Maternal Child Sub-committee. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a member of many national organizations including the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, the North American Menapause Society and the Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons. His special interests include female sexual medicine and minimally invasive surgery. He also still enjoys delivering those babies.

Dr. Morgan is an avid woodworker who enjoys furniture design and construction. Of late he has discovered the joy of travel and takes off every opportunity he gets. He has two grown daughters, one living her dream in Paris and his younger daughter in South Carolina in college and who is living her passion of international equine competition.
